The Rabbis of Europe:"Stop Whitewashing Incidents of Child Molestation"

7 Iear 5773 17/04/2013 The Council of European Rabbis, which met in Paris, called for the educational institutions to put a complete stop to the phenomenon of whitewashing incidents of child molesting and to take immediate, serious steps to deal with the problem. They also announced: European governments must stop interfering with the mitzvah of bris milah.

The Forum was established by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe following the request of the chief rabbis of cities and communities in Europe to form a group of young rabbis who will share experiences and will receive help in cultivating leadership and skills within the rabbinate.

Dutch Chief Rabbi Receives Honour from the Queen

9 Iear 5772 01/05/2012 This morning, Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs, Chief Rabbi of the Inter-Provincial Cheif Rabbinate in Holland and member of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe, was made an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau, one of the highest civilian awards given by the Queen of Holland. The honour is usually given to princes of other royal families in Europe, diplomats, artists, and social activists. It is the first time in the history of the Dutch Jewish community where a rabbi has received this honour.
